The Outdoor Floor Company are specialists in designing and building bespoke outdoor areas.
They focus primarily on outdoor spaces for schools and nurseries, but other projects include doggy daycare and gyms. Directors Chris and Sam pride themselves on the reputation the business has built in four years. All of The Outdoor Floor Company’s work is completed by an in-house team of skilled installers.
The Outdoor Floor Company used recommendations and social media to promote the business and previously didn’t have a website. They are active on social media and use LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram to advertise organically. Sam realised they needed an outlet to showcase their work and win more contracts.

Upon meeting Sam, we realised she was unsure about how she wanted the website to look or what functionality she needed. Sam had shown us a website that she liked from a business in a different industry. This helped us to understand that she liked a simple website style with the primary colours being black and white.
To ensure the website is accessible we needed to introduce a contrasting colour. We varied the text and backgrounds between black and white but another colour was crucial. Carl utilised the green in the existing logo to create this. He also used the green illustrations from the logo to place other graphics throughout the site.
One of the key concepts we created is the ‘Inspire Me’ page. The ‘Inspire Me’ page showcases previous work completed by The Outdoor Floor Company. Each space they create is visually striking, so the pictures speak for themselves in this gallery. This feature means prospective clients can use them as inspiration for their own space.
The website is a user-friendly, responsive website which will allow users to find out more about using The Outdoor Floor Company’s services. It offers optimal performance on all devices (mobile, tablets and desktop with prompt loading times, keeping the user engaged at all times.
